You know I have recently proposed probably a couple dozen times for small gigs offered on guru.com and never once heard back. Not even a "Thank you for your proposal"

Now I wonder, aloud, if anyone has had any luck getting web gigs through guru or is it just a farce?

Don't get me wrong, I love helping people out on this forum, but I need my just dues...I need side jobs!!!

I've never really checked them out. Looks like a good service, and I'd be interested to know people's experience with them, too.

Rower, perhaps its coincidence, but I may have actually may have scored my first guru gig. Although the client hasn't committed to me (yet), it seems highly likely that they will.

I encourage anyone out there with a solid portfolio to sign up if you are looking for side work. It is indeed a great service.

The paid subscription is much more flexible, but the freebie does just the job for me right now.
