Anything in 4.2 beta that's of any interest to iPhone owners?

I realise that there's a front page article but I wanted to see if there's anything specifically worthwhile in this for iPhone owners since it's "all about iPad"? All I've read was that you can change the notes font but other than that is there anything new? Can you print from the phone?

I'm wondering the same myself, but I'll be installing it soon.

I guess that AirPlay will be available for the iPhone.

I think AirPrint is only for Ipad

The iOS 4.2 Beta release notes and documents suggest otherwise. Any multi-tasking capable iOS device can use AirPrint

AirPrint will be compatible with the iPad, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and iPod touch second-generation and later, leaving out the iPhone 3G among iOS 4-compatible devices.

Seems like I cannot install the BETA even as a developer. Shoots me out an Error (10) on my iPhone 4. Fail.

I figured that just meant that to use Airprint the MacOS beta needs to be installed, or something. I haven't installed it and 4.2 installed fine on my iPad using iTunes.

I did update the SDK before trying though, so maybe that's Jare's problem.

SDK is up to date, so is the IPSW from Apple Dev Center. Guess I'll pass on this beta.

will be cool when more airplay devices are ready. since they are making home audio units airplay ready now. soon will follow hopefully, like maybe car stereos receivers. stream instead of bluetooth. bluetooth always seemed like a step down in audio quality. i see some car receivers are making pandora ready units now that stream using your iphones 3g net work. wonder if those can stream other content as well.

I was all excited about AirPrint, but hearing how it works and how it's not all that different from existing apps in the store has killed that enthusiasm. So no, nothing in 4.2 so far that I have to have upon its release. Unless they decide to release iWork for the iPhone. :)

You sure? Enter some text in the Google box. Below the suggestions, is there an "On this page" header?

It appears to work pretty well so far.

On another note... it seemed that the page reloading issue had gone away, but alas, it is still happening in profusion.
