In her speech last night, Hillary discussed all the American jobs she will bring back to America and then she went right in on how she will do it: by putting her justices on the SCOTUS. WTF?

And people complain that Trump doesn't have a plan. :)

She also promised to pass an amendment to the U.S. Constitution overturning Citizens United despite knowing damn well that is never going to happen.

Looks like she isn't being honest about gun control and her true intentions either.

Hillary quoted FDR's fear speech. FDR. The same FDR that put Japanese Americans in interment camps.

what is truly your point here? you know everyone on earth is neither completely good nor completely bad. you can't see the separation between appreciating someone for the good things they did and still not agreeing with despicable other things. sheesh, bill clintons cartoon mention was more accurate than i thought.

What a bang up job by the AP of "fact checking" without citing a single source.

They could very well be right on every line, but it's ****ing pathetic for a journalism agency as big as the AP to write a "fact checking" article without any citations. Not a good look.

She bashes Trump for xenophobia, while quoting a dude made famous in part by illegally detaining American citizens. You are quick to over look the good in Trump yet want me and others to see the good in FDR and Hillary.
You mention a cartoon, let's see it.

dude, the republican party of now bathes in xenophobia, whether explicit or implicitly. laws are created to divide people under the guise of "because jesus said so". FDR's decision to keep japanese people in camps should never have happened and is pretty infamous i agree. however i'd argue that his most famous contributions were the new deal and the fact he had polio. other than anecdotal evidence, there's good in trump? lol ok

oh i meant to say he was famous for having polio and a famous contribution was the new deal. anyway i guess no use in arguing with you about this since the word 'socialism' just seems to be a trigger due to mass brainwashing throughout the years

Liberal progressives are so fearful of Trump they can't function without spewing vitriol about him constantly. Nor can they think for themselves any longer. Mesmerized by the masterful lies propagated by their spiritual leader, Queen Hillary, they love living in denial and servitude.

You might be onto something there. Liberals are fighting for certain rights, what's your opinion on same-sex marriage? Honestly?

Ever notice that people really start to care about a disease after THEY get it? Where was the concern when they didn't have the disease?

Just point out how well socialism is working in Venezuela or Cuba. Nothing like a good example of success to prove a point.

Funny how Obama promised the same thing, and yet under Obama, 95% of the recovery went to the top 5% of the people.

I agree, FDR's legacy was not that he locked up thousands of Japanese Americans... Unless you want to go with some radical recontextualized history perspective. But we certainly don't have Japanese locked up 75 years later. Yes, FDR may have interned a bunch of Japanese Americans. It never should have happened and will hopefully be a lesson to never do it again. Conflating the Japanese internment camps with German internment camps I think is absolutely false.

As awful and regrettable as the US's decision was, it was nothing like what the Germans were doing. The World War in upheaval and there was mass paranoia and tons of fear. I don't believe the lessons of the holocaust were fully understood and most Americans weren't even entirely aware of the gravity of the situation (or concerned). I'm obviously not promoting the injustice, but I see how fear lead our country to make a very inhumane and regrettable decision.

So when Trump talks about rounding up Muslims and making them have ID's... I think our country has already learned the damage caused by descriminating people and acting out of fear.

The New Deal, people can debate social security and stimulus aspects until the end of time, but I'm very sure most people are content with the security of unemployment insurance and federally insured banks. (Unless you prefer when banks fail your money vanishing)
