Today we are proud to announce that the best and most popular Messenger App on the Mac is finally available for iPad.

App for WhatsApp brings the WhatsApp Messenger to the iPad.

Only with App for WhatsApp you can send and receive voice messages, photos, videos, documents and Emojis.

It is a must have for any WhatsApp addict with an iPad.

Only App for WhatsApp provides the following features:

    • Send and receive voice messages
    • Send and receive documents
    • Dark Mode: With a beautiful layout dominated by dark colors App for WhatsApp will be easy on your eyes
    • Customizable font size
    • Record videos and photos directly in App and share them with your friends
    • Call your friends via FaceTime directly from the App
    • Save received images, videos and documents to your iPad
    • Privacy mode: Automatically locks App for WhatsApp with a PIN after a user selected time (also supports Touch ID)
    • Choose a custom chat window wallpaper image
    • Polished iPad style user interface

Get more info and screenshots at the App for WhatsApp App Store Page.

We would love to implement support for push notifications for new messages when App for WhatsApp is in the background or the iPad is in standby. Unfortunately this is currently impossible due to technical reasons that we are not responsible for. We are depending on WhatsApp to give 3rd party developers a way to implement this feature.

All competing WhatsApp Apps for the iPad that promote this feature are scam. They just want to trick people into buying their Apps but the feature is not working with any of them.

I would like to point out that once there will emerge a way to enable this feature we will be among the first or even the first (as with sending voice messages and many other great features) that will implement it into our App.
