One of the things I really liked about my Blackberry was being able to just type in the first few letters of someone's name and call them from the list that came up. I find that doing this on the iPhone is quite cumbersome...hit Phone...hit Contacts...and either scroll around for them or do a search.
Would be awesome if there was an app that we could hit right on the home page and it brings up a keyboard to start typing a contact's name that we can dial.
