    I am looking for an app that may or may not exist. lol. I am looking for an app that deals with the screen and lock screen. I used to have a droid and there was a nice app that you could choose to keep the screen on, keep the screen on and when it shuts off automatically it does not lock, and then normal. I am looking for an app that can control things like this. I do not wanta have to go into settings and then choose to keep the screen on. I want an app that will allow the screen to not turn off or when it turns off i don't have to put in my 4 digit password every single time the screen turns on. i don't know if i am explaining this right.

    Its a pain if i am using it to unlock the screen ever single time it turns off if i am using it randomly. I wanta keep it unlocked when im using it

    If there is, it'll require jailbreaking. I haven't seen anything like that on the App Store.

    Indeed.

    Apple does not allow Apps to control things like this.

    Ugh. I got an iPhone 4S a few months back and it seems like every week there is something else this thing can not do. This phone is getting to "simple" each day.

    The fact that u cant even run widgets is mind boggling.

    You can set the passcode to only be required after a certain amount of time after the screen has been locked (up to 4 hours.)

    If you jailbreak, the app is called ScreenDimmer. Gives you more control over when the screen locks.

    There is an app for that. It's called "Settings". Set the screen to not ever turn off by itself.

    Settings-->General-->Autp Lock-->Never

    It's this (view on iOS device), but apparently 5.1 breaks these.

    That or Siri will eventually be able to toggle them. I'm going with the latter.
