It’s only that for Apple’s competitors..smhit was already spun as privacy and safety, when apple announced a few years back. and yea those fools still lap up this privacy notion

really hope this is just in app store, and i think there were adds in app store anyways.Yay, ads on my $1,000 phone!
Blocking adds is not right thing to do, most websites and service providers depend on adds for revenue.Good thing the search feature is easily accessed, I barely notice the ads. It'd be nice if someone made an app that could block ad content across the device!
I see adds in Macbook pro when i open macrumors in safari, where is my free macbook pro ?This is great news!
I use Google's services for free and get ads. "I am the product" and all that.
I'm looking forward to my free iPhone 15.
What products do you upgrade every year ?The environment would probably benefit from them not pushing their customers to upgrade every year but you are not going to see that happening.
this website makes money from adds, if there were no adds on this website would you be willing to pay to read/comment on macrumors ?I have become so disgusted with ads over the years, those ads I have managed not to block are products that immediately go on my do not buy list, especially products that have a celebrity attached to it. No way do I want to spend an increased cost so some spoiled celeb makes money. So go ahead, Apple, shovel me more ads for apps from companies I will make it a point to never purchase from.
There are ads on the Apple News and Apple Stocks App then eventually Apple Maps.really hope this is just in app store, and i think there were adds in app store anyways.
It's annoying to pay for Apple News+ and still see ads everywhere. I had the Wall Street Journal for years and that was a huge advertisement as well. There are ads on the Apple News and Apple Stocks App then eventually Apple Maps.
Apple could increase revenue by doing what it used to be good at doing: bringing actual innovation. Sadly for many years has been releasing unimaginative products, that often were almost identical to their predecessors with improvements that are marginal to say the least (see the ‘new’ iPad Pro, iPhone 14, Apple Watch 8… ). Over time this is causing a decrease in profits that in turn is pushing apple to look for money elsewhere (ads), even if it goes against the whole privacy smokescreen and it cheapens the brand. What’s next, ads in the lockscreen or perhaps in the notch 2.0 (the so-called ‘dynamic island)? You can thank shareholders for this. Apple has to keep revenues increasing to keep them happy. Just the way it works.
You need a router level ad blocker for that. Pi-Hole, firewalla, stuff like that.
Same, i only go there to update apps and use search to find the app I want to download.don’t even care ; never be longer than 15 seconds on apple store to download any app i already researched
And that's exactly the problem. Most ads these days are disguised as recommendations or reviews, AppStore included. It's not that clear who is on main page thanks to quality, and who is there because they paid the money. This will be particularly bad when in comes to Maps and searching for food etc.I have never noticed the ads in the App Store
Coming soon: Ads inside Apple Maps
