No M1 replacement for the iMac 27"??? VERY disappointing. Hoping Apple does not intend to force those of us who need the larger (>= 27") display to upgrade to a horrifically expensive Pro model!

At first I was excited when they started to talk about the iMac. I am not sure if I should order one, wait or just get a refurbished Mini. The 2010 iMac needs to be replaced. It is still working well but it is old.

My first iMac was strawberry so I like the option of getting this new one in red.

Think the same - refurbed MacMini with the LG 27 5k monitor. I do like the iMacs though. Getting new iPad Pro 12.9 and ATV for sure.

The new iMac has 4 USB-C port, 2 of these are Thunderbolt-compatible.
Yes, it has 4 ports alltogether.

Oh and it has Ethernet over the power cord. ;) So let's say, the magsafe type powercord is the 5th port for you ethernet/LAN needs.
Yeah I'm watching the same video funnily enough....

No SD card slot on a desktop computer is a joke. Given how people are yelling for it to come back on the rumoured 14" and 16" MacBook Pro

Ugh, wow... So many disappointing things here.

-Where is the 27-32” model?
-Such ugly white bezels and huge chin
-No FaceID
-Only 4 ports
-No space grey
-Same mouse they’ve had for 15 years

Wow. I am shocked. I was so looking forward to this for a long time and it’s such a let down.

um, 24"? that's it? or are they giving us a second size option?..

My guess is the M1 isn't powerful enough to satisfy 27" iMac buyers. Only 16GB of RAM for one thing. I would guess a 30" or whatever size will come with the M2 chip.

Larger display? M1x? Processor, RAM, SSD, Graphic options, space gray? Come on man. Either saving for the end of the announcements today or Apple missed the boat

Well, these are pretty cool looking! I'm not quite ready to replace my iMac pro just yet, but maybe in a couple years with the M3 I'll be ready to make the jump.

No space grey option and the chin? It's really ugly, they should have kept the Apple logo at the front...
I agree 100%. The white bezels and chin are already offensive as it is. And they look even more weird without the signature Apple logo. The only way they could justify dropping the logo would be if there was no chin to begin with. We’re starting to feel the absence of Jonny Ive, it seems.

I don't mind there being a chin, it's just a little disappointing that it's no smaller than the old model.

I also wish there was an SD Card reader and a backlit keyboard.

Otherwise it looks pretty good.

I guess Apple are rolling with the M1 this year, looks like that means pro users who need more far graphics grunt and RAM options take a back seat as usual.

Bigger will come later with a better chip. This was always expected

Strange to see so many talking about a lack of larger options. Weren’t all the rumors about a 21” replacement using the M1 chip?
M1X or whatever more powerful chip isn’t expected until later this year which is what will most likely be in the larger size imac replacement. (27” or 32”)

Only 4 ports...and a power brick / adapter is the only way to get ethernet. Seems like the 16gb ram cap still exists. Meh.
