kind of ticks me off the fact they introduce a 16gb then 64gb then 128gb...

makes you wonder why not 32gb as the minimum... why because they want more money...

they know 16gb is not enough and 32gb was perfect in terms of size... sooo just to sell more 64gb they skipped the 32gb so more people would buy the one with higher price, as alot of people wouldnt want to get 16gb as its too small...

    not nice apple...

If you don't have $100 you shouldn't even be thinking of buying an Apple product.

Physical storage is dead. Go with 16 and cloud.

My guess is it is cheaper for Apple to make the 16gb and thus MORE profit.

    I would have liked a $249 32GB model.

I usually opt for the mid-level option. still will. 16GB is too small for me.

This change is only targeted to the consumers who were right on the edge of 16GB. These consumers used to buy 16GB and did not find the 32gb worth the $100. Yet they suffered from memory issues, everytime a new OS came out, a big app etc.
BY removing the 32GB, apple creates a relativity issue where the consumer is pushed to buy the choice they want. Every consumer knows the 16GB is the cheapest phone and that more memory should be more money. Actually we know that an additional 16GB should be $100 (they told us that year after year). Now Apple brings the 64GB (a 4X increase) for only $100 bucks. Now the consumer on the edge has an easier choice, his $100 bucks is now worth way more than yesterdays $100... the choice is simple because RELATIVE to yesterday, buying 64GB is so much better.
I predict that 64GB is going to be the most common iphone out there!

By the way if you don't believe me take a look at Dan Ariely article on what I just talked about.

I imagine Apple are going to make the storage on the 6"S" 32GB minimum, Apple are always saving something back for the next phone in line.

Or, Apple realizes there are some people out there who will be satisfied with even 16GB. And for those where 16GB isn't enough, there's the 64GB and 128GB model.

Stop taking everything Apple does so personally.

It's possible, but do you really want to wait a year to find out?

I am happy with 64gb, its an extra 32gb for free as far as I am concerned. I knew going in that I was paying $299 for the 32gb model (of the 4.7) now I get 64gb for the same price.

It's a very simple marketing strategy. You wouldn't normally consider getting a 32gb for £80 more if you have the 16gb but if you can get 64gb instead this time, well you're getting more for your money arent you?

It's a winner for apple because the memory costs them nothing
