This is hilarious! There won't be any Apple TV and yet they keep decorating the center suggesting a new Apple TV. :( OMG, this WWDC is so DOA already, it hurts! o_O

Really? Is your vision really that poor or is that you never saw the first version of that banner? The first version was shaped like an Apple TV. This new banner inside the moscone center is not in any way shape or form a resemblence of an Apple TV.

I've totally got it. I cracked the code. The "diamonds" aren't Apple TV hints. Think about it -- the tag line is epicenter of "change". They're changing iOS app icons into diamonds!

You heard it here first!

Now where is my cushy high paying analyst job?

Software wise, I'm hoping that iOS 9 and OS X 10.11 are just optimised for stability, bug fixes, and better performance on older hardware. I sometimes wonder that if hardware advances had stagnated, how much performance could you get out of simply optimising software. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I remember my iPhone 4 was like absolute butter on iOS 4 when I first got it … :D

I hope so too. Yosemite is usable, fast but has glaring bugs that needs to be fixed. Clean it up Apple. Should be the first priority.

I'd also love to have the option to enable a legitament dark mode for iOS 9. Having everything bright white is just too much in my opinion

Unless you say "sources suggest" you are merely guessing.

The Apple logo on the outside of the building appears to be Pantone 11-0601 TPX. This must be a sign they are considering changing a color somewhere in OS X

The Mac Pro was release 2 years ago at WWDC 2013 but did not ship right away. But they wanted to make a big issue about it being such a grate new design and how Apple can still innovate. I just read the following on another web site which I believe sound accurate. I simply do not understand why they can not announce the New Apple TV but not deliver until later. (which I was expecting anyway). It makes no since that "according' to the 2 people brief that this all changed in the last 2 weeks. Did the hardware look so bad in the final testing or is all about the TV subscription service. And if all about the TV subscription service do they not see any advantage in New hardware and a app store and gaming. I am just don't get it.

"The current Mac Pro was first unveiled two years ago at WWDC 2013. It took another six months before Apple was able to start selling it (and a few more months for some customers to start to receive their units)."

ok I'll bite

there is no competitor on the market for the mac pro, because no competitors can run os X officially. they can announce the design years beforehand, PC makers can copy the design but it won't run os X so no competitor.
the design announcement was more of a PR thing then it was a real announcement.

the Apple Tv is a product in a red ocean, it's full of competitors and wanna-be competitors. Announcing a product or even a design years beforehand as the mac pro will create the opportunity for competitors to copy and release something similar. The experience of the apple tv, that is the combination of design, hardware, software and business deals as a WHOLE will make the apple tv unique. Announcing one part of this can ruin that.

"To … create these new system fonts, we took the existing fonts, and redesigned every aspect of them. The previous gauche curves have been meticulously crafted, deconstructing the very essence of the shape, unapologetically giving a user experience unlike any other.

By using Wingdings as our new system font, we can ensure … "

I really hope this "epicenter of change" tagline isn't referring to a huge emphasis and chunk of the keynote being about Homekit.

The only thing left interesting in this for me will be Home kit devices which I'm very excited for and perhaps what exactly they are going to announce regarding iOS9.

Apparently HomeKit has been removed/scaled back from the conference too due to Apple TV being it's central hub and no longer showing.

I wonder if Apple made a back up plan for how t fill the keynote now that presumably 50% of it has been cancelled?

The sun rose this morning in the east.

We have nothing else to report today, so we decided to tell you about this.

I hopesombody gets fired over this Apple TV crap. It's like the third year in a row... I'm not even going to watch WWDC now. That was the whole reason to watch to begin with.
What crap exactly?

Rumours site predicted that new hardware site would be released.

Apple remains silent.

Rumours site now change the prediction that new hardware will not be released.

Apple remains silent.

Commentards on macrumors are ANGRY over the crap!

I don't get it.
