Foxconn International Net Loss Widens More Than Estimated

Compare this to Apple's outrageous billions of dollars in profit last year and you will that Apple is not paying a fair share for the Chinese slave labour, who makes all our Apple products. Apple wants cheaper and cheaper costs from these slaves and yet charges outrageous prices at retail. This is immoral.

    What up, 212?!
AT&T and Verizon charge for tethering whilst carriers in Europe, Central & South America, and Asia do not.

Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Ah, another troll post by SomeDudeAsking. Pathetic.

Perhaps you can provide the proof that the people who work there were purchased by Foxconn. Or maybe some evidence that they can't leave. How about some scars from the whipping they get?

    1. Foxconn employees are not slaves.
    2. Foxconn employees are paid fairly by China standards. Their jobs are desirable.
    3. Foxconn suicide rates are lower than that of US colleges and universities.

Listen.. If the workers don't like their job, they could QUIT. Yeah... That four letter word. Apple doesn't have a gun to their heads. They are welcome to walk out and not come back. The company will replace their job in seconds.

They don't have the financial means to "walk out". They are piss poor. They don't even get paid enough to rent their own apartment. All the workers are forced into shared rooms with 10 others at a time. They have nothing and no one.

You make it seem like Apple has them in a dungeon and is working them for 43 hours straight. They are well paid compared to the standard rate.

If you care so much about them, why don't you donate a few thousand dollars to their workers? For food and shelter... Or are you just one of those people that complains but doesn't actually do anything about it. Money wise.

"Well paid" compared to what "standard rate"?

I'd be happy to donate part of the $400 profit per iPhone that Apple makes. I'd also be happy to donate part of the $30 profit per Apple USB charger that only costs $0.25 to make. You just don't get it, while Apple charges us outrageous retail prices that make obscene profits, the Chinese slaves get only pittances that doesn't give them any means at all of making a future for themselves or, God forbid, they want to buy some of the things we in the West take for granted, like a home.

You're quite the entertaining character. Like I said, why don't you donate some of your OWN money, if you care so deeply? Or do you not care about them enough to donate your own savings?

And stop calling them slaves. Do you even know what a slave is? Let me define it for you.

Slavery (also called thralldom) is a form of forced labour in which people are considered to be the property of others. Slaves can be held against their will from the time of their capture, purchase or birth, and deprived of the right to leave, to refuse to work, or to demand wages.

Here is also a little article for you to read. Found on Wikipedia.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Security set China's first minimum wage law on 1 March 2004. The Regulations on Enterprises Minimum Wage was made to "ensure the basic needs of the worker and his family, to help improve workers' performance and to promote fair competition between enterprises." One monthly minimum wage was set for full-time workers, and one hourly minimum wage for part-time workers. Provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions are allowed to legislate for their own minimum wage separate from the national one.[17]
In February 2010, officials in Jiangsu province increased the minimum wage to 960 RMB (about US$140.62) per month, the same as Shanghai.
Guangdong Province increased its minimum wage on 1 September 2006 and was split into five categories. The highest is ¥780 per month or ¥4.66 (~US$0.68) an hour (in Guangzhou city). The lowest is ¥450 per month or ¥2.69 (~US$0.39) an hour.[18]
From the 1st July 2010 thirty provinces, including Beijing and Shanghai, raised their minimum wage to address the country's widening income gap. In Beijing the minimum wage was raised by 20% to ¥960 a month. In Shanghai, which has China's highest minimum wage, raised it to ¥1,120 a month.[19]

So before you start stating crap that isn't true, why don't you do some research. Would you be happier if Apple paid Foxconn employees $20 an hour and charged $4000 for an iPhone?

    And for the last time...

Exactly. Someone talks to troll but don't want to help out these "unfortunate" people who are earning above average wage in China.

    Oh, the humanity!

Apple products are built with slave labor.

You knowingly purchased products built by slaves. You could have got something more expensive or something else entirely. But it's the stuff built by slaves that you just gotta have.

    So you buy it.

And to sleep at night you blame it on Apple.

And you just go to show my point that the Foxconn Chinese slaves are way underpaid. A fraction of a dollar per hour? Who are you trying to kid? And Apple products won't cost more to buy if Apple is willing to be more fair and use some of that $400-$500 gross profit per iPhone to pay those Chinese slaves fair wages that is at least in the same ballpark as what a minimum wage American could earn. Think about it, $400-$500 gross profit for Apple per iPhone while a Chinese Foxconn work would be lucky to earn $0.25 for assembling it.
