Every since I connected my 4th gen Airport Extreme, the audio receiver that's connected to my TV and surround sound randomly comes on in the middle of the night - over and over!
The Airport Extreme is located next to the TV and receiver because that's the only active internet location. I also have an Airport Express nearby that's connected to the surround sound to allow for Airplay. Please help.

Try disconnecting the Airport Express from the amp to unplugging it for an evening.

I have a feeling that the Airport Express is sending a signal to the amp, if it is there may be a setting to the amp to stop this happening.

My ATV2 switches itself on and off 24x7, I have a feeling its happening when my Macbook Pro is waking up to do a backup or the fact that I have wake for network access set in the Power Saving options for syncing my iPad & iPhone.

What model audio receiver?

Denon AVR 589 - 2007

Will try this tonight

From looking at the manual, the 589 is never switched off its in standby mode.

From page 34 :-

Turning the Power On

1 Press <POWER>.
The power indicator lights red and the power is set to the standby mode.

2 Press <ON/STANDBY> or [ON/SOURCE].
The power indicator flashes green and the power turns on.

* Also press [SOURCE SELECT] when in standby mode, the power turns on.
In this case the input source is selected by remote control unit.

* Also press [QUICK SELECT] when in standby mode, the power turns on.
In this case Quick Select is selected by remote control unit (page 41).

So I do wonder if its the Airport Express.

O.K. First, y'all are awesome for trying to help. I disconnected the Airport Express last night, but the receiver still came on. I'm going to relocate the Extreme, but that requires contacting my cable/internet company. I'll update y'all once I get this done. Thanks for your help.
