Wasn't sure whether to post this here, or elsewhere, so I apologise if I was in the wrong place.

I was reading this earlier and it mentions Apple as being a company wanting to provide media content to people's homes through broadband. While this can be seen as iTMS related, (so as they currently do, provide music), it seems to insinuate higher bandwidth content on its way. I know the BBC and Apple have collaborated once or twice in the past, so perhaps the BBC are letting some insider knowledge slip.

As I stated a couple of weeks back, I also heard from our buyers at work that Apple will be making it easier in the new year for getting video content onto an iPod. While it wasn't clear whether they meant your own content or a greater range of downloads, perhaps full video integration in iTunes/Quicktime is on it's way. You might soon have the option to download the latest movies from the iTMS or rip them straight from your DVD.
