Now New Mac Mini will arrive in a few days. I would like to say this before everyone else: we want an Apple-made 5K monitor.

Not sure you’re first but I think it’s more likely to come now with the mini than next year with the Pro. There’s nothing to be gained from waiting, and iirc monitors have been introduced alongside minis in the past.

Rumors have an 8K Apple Display slated for release alongside the 2019 modular Mac Pro...

And I believe the current LG 4K & 5K monitors are the same panels as used in the current iMacs & iMac Pros...?

I, for one, would LOVE to see these monitors in an Apple housing...

I think a refresh of the Mac Mini (especially if there is a "larger, more pro-focused" Mini) would be a great time to release 're-housed' Apple Displays...

I thought Apple got out of the branding LCD business?

I seriously doubt they will release a new Mac Pro, the pinnacle of Macintosh hardware, without an accompanying MATCHING monitor...!

Which will probably be an 8K monitor from LG, in an Apple housing...

Which is the same thing they need to do with the current 4k & 5K LG monitors, just put the panel & guts into an Apple-designed housing...

No rumors to indicate this will be coming at Tuesday's event. My prediction is that it will be launched alongside the new Mac Pro in 2019.
[doublepost=1540791693][/doublepost]Actually, there is one rumor from 2017 that seems to suggest it and the Mac mini were being developed together. So it remains possible that the two will be launched together.

If the display really is 8K as rumored, expect a $2,000+ price tag, and DisplayPort 1.4 requirement to drive it at 60 Hz.
