For the last week or two, my apple mail has no longer been receiving my gmail. I have done nothing to the preferences.

Has anyone else had this problem and would anyone know how to fix it?

All I can think is something may have changed on their servers in the UK since it changed to 'googlemail', however, I managed to get a 'gmail' address before the switch.

Have you made sure you have POP downloads enabled in your gmail settings and that your preferences are still valid?

I've checked my gmail and mail preferences and I can't see what may have changes. POP is still enabled.

Do you get the little warning icon next to the GMail account in Mail, or does it appear to connect and retrieve, but not get any actual messages?

I don't get a warning sign (! in a triangle), but a circle with a lightning bolt type line in it.

What a muppet! I just discovered I had accidently taken my that particular mailbox offline! Problem solved.

Thank you for your replies and sorry for posting over such a rookie mistake...

Gmail on Mail not working

A week ago I tried to delete 2 years' worth of "All Mail"; ever since, my gmail account is spinning its wheels and not receiving mail, although my other email account (included in Mail) is working. Gmail messages will go out, but the wheel spinning continues ...

Why can I NOT delete those 2 years of Mail?

And what does the wheel spinning indicate (other than some sort of malfunction)?

Gmail issues on my Mac, Ipad, and Iphone

I have issues on all of them. Tried their suggestions and even changed my password. Even re-installed the account. Nothing is arriving on my apple devices but can access my account on line. Hope a fix is coming as this must be a huge issue elsewhere.
