I live in a part of the country where I frequently don't have cell service as I drive around. There is a marked difference in the Apple Music app's performance on my phone when I have cell service vs when I don't.
Without service, the search function (for music saved to my phone) is all but useless. When I click on a song to play it, it takes up to 10 seconds thinking about it before it actually plays and frequently says it's playing when it's not. The app also fully locks up and crashes on occasion. None of these are issues I've ever observed when I'm in an area that has cell service.
Is there anything I can do to improve the app's off-line performance? Does anyone else have this issue? It's getting bad enough that I'm starting to consider trying some of the other streaming apps to see if they perform better, but I would really rather stay in the Apple ecosystem.
