Anyone test to see if they fixed the crashing of Firefox in this update as the cause of the crashes in beta 5 was an apple bug.

On my main machine installed the developer beta utility and it then downloaded the installer.Once downloaded it reregistered the Mac so it didn't install. I think it only works on machines not already on Catalina.
[doublepost=1566238167][/doublepost]if anyone is interested the build No is 19A536g the Previous was 19A526h so if I am not mistaken this is 10 builds ahead

once again, will wait for reports from anyone who previously installed and it took 20-30 hours... b4 took me 40 hours, while only about 30 hours on b5, so I suppose that was an improvement...?

anyone who had absurdly long times, please report in...

Seems like only the newer MacBooks are affected by the absurdly long install times. My 2012 MBP installs the betas just fine and I’ve never had an install go over 5 hours.

As I know, only the 2015 MBP is affected by installation issues.
The todays update took something like 15-20min on my 2017 MBP.

The bug that causes Messages to crash when quit (if not waiting for a while after launch) is still there!

first of all, an install of 5 hours is crazy - before b4, i've never EVER had an install take more than 90 mins, and those are typically on much older and slower Macs. I now have a 2016 MBP with Touch Bar (first gen of those) and up until b4, never had an OS take more than 45 mins to install, even the big ones.

nope, 2016 MBP, and took me 40 hours on b4, and "only" 30 hours on b5. the first 3 betas never took more than 20-30 mins.

Is it? Not getting the update.
Me neither. I think the main thing I want fixed is videos on iCloud. I want the Finder able to stream videos from the cloud to your desktop and not have to wait for a download. At the moment, you can only do that in iCloud.com, where http streaming works. In the finder, though I can download to play in iOS, in my present public beta, the Finder won't even download them, and iCloud.com is the only thing that works.

How long did beta 6 take you to install as I also have a 2016 MBP w/ TB

not touching it until I hear from others who had the same problem, lol! I waited a few days before doing b5 once people started chiming in that it was still a problem, so I could do it over a weekend at least...
