Impressive. They have been busy little bees.

It seems to me that following the heavy lifting of a UI overhaul last time around with Liquid Glass, this is the 'Snow Leopard' release where the focus is a nip, tuck, and polish in every corner of the OS experience. That and, of course, more AI.

You know with RDMA, the next Mac Studio should come with at least eight thunderbolt ports if not more for clustering. 🤔

As a software developer I can tell you what just happened. Apple started using AI coding assistants, most probably the most capable one: Anthropic Opus, or even Fable/Mythos and asked it to analyze their code and improve it. And frankly speaking, iOS has been such a wreck recently, no surprise the AI found and fixed/improved so many things 😀 But I guess the Apple engineers should not feel miserable, they can still do something "useful" like including a new Pride wallpaper.

Wish they fixed more bugs in Apple Music like: bring back "Join CD Tracks" during import, Move the mini player from the bottom of the window to the top again (where there isn't anything for it to cover up), allow user to personalize artist icon (instead of letting Apple get it wrong), fix crossfade so that upcoming song doesn't fade in, but overlaps fade-out of previous song (you know, like radio Dj's have been doing since the beginning).

So much innovation.

I guess this explains why they didn't have time to figure out how to add a knob that disables dithering.
I am completely fine with this. You don't need some whizbang garbage when the current crop of whizbang garbage is running like garbage. I am excited to have a better overall experience on my ipad. The 26 update was very sluggish and had a lot of wonky things.

I don't use my iPhone to its fullest capabilities now, so most of these improvements will likely remain a mystery to me, too. I never want to invest the time it takes to unravel it all. But it'll be easier once 27 is in my hands and I can follow along. Right now, it's so abstract for something that 3+ months away.
