Apple today shared the first official trailer for upcoming Apple TV+ series "Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet," which is set to debut on Friday, February 7.

"Mythic Quest," a comedy, follows a team of video game developers as they navigate the challenges of running a popular video game.

The series was created by Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, known for their work on long running TV show "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia." McElhenney will star in the show as the company's creative director, but Day will not have a role.

"Mythic Quest" also stars F. Murray Abraham, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Charlotte Nicdao, David Hornsby, Ashly Burch, and Jessie Ennis.

Apple has ordered nine half-hour episodes, and when "Mythic Quest" debuts, it will be one of the first comedy shows on the Apple TV+ service, joining existing shows that include "Dickinson," "For All Mankind," "See," "Servant," and "The Morning Show."

I love TV+ and I‘ve really been looking forward to this, but if these are the best scenes/jokes they had for the trailer... not a good sign 😬
I tend to agree that most of the jokes are flat - this looks like more of a drama than a comedy based on the acting in the trailer. I liked the bagel prescription bit though.

It looks ok, not solid.
The jokes fell a bit flat and the ‘women’ joke was straight out of 2005 but, maybe that’s the point?

I will give it a go. Currently watching Truth be told which is good and I am LOVING Servant

Wow. Yet another waste of hundreds of millions of dollars. But sorry we can't do a new Airport Extreme cuz it just doesn't sell well enough...
You think this show costs hundreds of millions to make?
For reference, more people will watch this show the week it comes out then the amount of people who brought or even know what an AirPort Extreme is

Does anyone understand satire and sarcasm? Anyway, on a serious note this show looks hilarious!!
Yeah, but even then, tastes in specific works of satire and sarcasm are subjective. To me, the best parts of the trailer were brief moments with Rob, but even then the performance feels like a watered down version of what we see in Sunny.

It's just a trailer and by no means damning, but it feels like a Sunny character wedged into a lackluster sitcom. You don't need to misunderstand satire to not enjoy it.

I've worked in AAA game development for many years and this looks nothing like actual dev. It looks awful, although saying that the actual process of making games generally involves starring at a screen for hours, watching progress bars, and rebooting Dev kits after a crash.

I personally found the bagel prescription pretty dumb and un-funny. Interesting how the same thing can be seen two different ways by differnet people. That explains why this thread started out with overbearing negativity towards TV+. Apple is just getting started, and so far they've released some fantastic content! We haven't seen nothing yet!

I was originally saddened by Apple's withdrawal from the router market, but now I see why.... other companies have really raised the bar, and AirPort was no longer competitive. For that, I applaud Apple for making the right decision, even if it has short-term hurt for some of us.

Looks a bit too close to Silicon Valley, but I'll give it a watch anyway.

But you just admitted it doesn't sell well enough?

There's plenty of Wi-Fi routers out there. Go pick one.
Yup. Neither does the AppleTV+ service. Plenty of streaming sites too. All better.
