Apple Ship Dates

That's not for students specifically as far as I can tell. It looks to be their holiday rush schedule for all customers, and the turnaround time is very low because it has to be. Most companies really crank things out right before Christmas in order to have as much product delivered on time as possible.

It's to compensate for all the people who order things at the 11th hour and want them delivered at an unrealistically short distance in the future in time for the holiday.
