A friend of a friend is selling his AT&T iPhone 5 and I want to buy it, but I have a question regarding warranty: Can I use the warranty in an Apple Store even without the buying receipt (they have the serial number, and I remind you that the phone was bought on AT&T)? For example, if I would want to exchange the phone because the phone has scuffs or other defects.

    Thanks.

Yes, you'll be fine as the warranty is tied to the device, not the user. It'll be in their computer and you can check yourself too.
