Any issues with the mac studio support for this 2011 monitor as a primary or second monitor ? Spec indicates thunderbolt 2.

I think it's actually Thunderbolt 1.
1440p does not require Thunderbolt 2.
Thunderbolt 2 is 2013.
I don't think Apple made any significant changes to the Apple Thunderbolt Display in the 5 or 6 years it was being sold.

I think it should work with Apple Silicon Macs:

With my M2 Studio Max, my 2nd monitor to the 27" ASD is the original Apple 27" LED Cinema Display. It's the one before the TB2 version you mentioned-from 2010. With a simple 3rd party Mini Display Port to USB-C connector at $25, attached to the displays non-removable feed cable, it works just fine from either my TB hub or a Studio rear TB port.

thankx for the info. I decided to upgrade from my iMac 4K retina. I purchased a kiiler deal on a mac studio M1 Max from ipowersale. I decided why not use the iMAc as a 2nd monitor. SO I purchase the Luna display device which allows an imac or i device to be used. Works well. But I noticed that the thunderbolt bolt displays are so cheap these days I thought that would be another way to go. But I guess I'll stay with the Luna display device.
