Apple Touts 'World's Best' AirPods Pro 3 Noise Cancellation in New Vini Jr. Ad

Apple today shared a new ad highlighting AirPods Pro 3 Active Noise Cancellation.


The ad stars Vini Jr., a Brazilian professional footballer who plays for Real Madrid and the Brazil national team, and it arrives as the 2026 FIFA World Cup gets underway. In the spot, Vini Jr. dances through the streets to music only he can hear.

Apple marketing chief Greg Joswiak shared the video on social media, and a short version is also on Apple's AirPods Pro 3 website.

Apple says the AirPods Pro 3 have the "world's best in-ear Active Noise Cancellation" based on a July 2025 evaluation in accordance with IEC 60268–24 as compared with best-selling commercially available wireless in-ear headphones. The AirPods Pro 3 remove up to 2x more noise than the AirPods Pro 2, and up to 4x more than the original AirPods Pro.

The AirPods Pro 3 are priced at $249, and along with Active Noise Cancellation, the earbuds feature spatial audio, heart rate sensing, hearing aid functionality, Live Translation, and more.

They sound great, but the redesign just doesn't fit my ears as well as the Pro 2s. The Pro 3s are constantly wiggling out and I'm adjusting, squeezing the foam, and putting them back in. Pro 2s pop in and stay...wish there was a better solution. And this is all while just sitting on airplanes or walking around the house for phone calls...no abrupt activities.

The foam inserts you can get online have been game changers for me. They are disposable, since they get gross after a while, but they are great at ensuring the AirPods stay put.

Just search for AirPods Pro foam ear tip replacements.

I had the Comply ones for a while. Better ANC and more importantly (for me) they stay in way more securely, even when running/sweating. They get a bit grody after a while but IIRC the package comes with 3 sets.

The only minor hitch I found was that they throw off Transparency and Adaptive Audio modes a bit because they passively block more sound.

Pretty sure you could just crazy glue those suckers in and it wouldn't impact their features.

Now they stay in consistently, and you're one step closer to Siri being in your brain! 🤖:apple:

I genuinely wish I could go back to a new pair of APP1's if they had USB-C; I have the 2's and are not a fan of the noise canceling. I have terrible clicking/clacking interruptions when I'm string trimming or mowing near a concrete/brick wall. Its annoying 🙁

For me it’s the exact opposite. I constantly had to push the Pro 2 back into my ear. The Pro 3 fits perfectly, like a glove.

As someone with mild to moderate tinnitus from my ears raw dogging loud punk shows when I was younger, I can’t endorse this enough. Anything they can do, their ears will thank them so much later.

That's why they lowered the price from $249 to $199 to $179 in the span of 9 months: they want everyone to have them because they're so good.

I've found that using a nail clipper with ANC is sonic torture. Something about the frequency I guess. Try it if you dare.

They should play up the sound quality for music. It's very comparable to the AirPods Max (which are gathering dust here).

I know, it's not what I would recommend either. Apparently the rubber tips combined with the ANC suppresses the level just as normal earplugs, according to my family member. Never tested this myself though. I have the AirPods 4 ANC and these are fine to suppress medium traffic noise; I wear these sometimes when I'm on my bike.

I only use regular earplugs at any concert - both indoor and outdoor. Working as a broadcast television engineer I cannot afford damage to my ears. Some of us have custom fitted ones, with optional input for intercom connection - without it's impossible to hear the director(s).
Never understood why the stage sound is always set so extremely loud - even asked the head sound engineer once, but he never gave a sensible answer. Funny with him was... he looked a lot like an older Neil from The Young Ones and his hearing was damaged as wel. He did set the output too loud, but if you listened with earplugs in it was crystal clear in the lows and highs. 🤔

Interesting. ANC is good and I like how it performs on my AirPods 4 with ANC. It should be better on AirPods Pro 3
