Apple TV Time-Limited Deal: $5.99/Month for Amazon Prime Members

Apple has partnered up with Amazon to make Apple TV available at $5.99 per month for Prime members for a limited time.

Apple TV is available as an add-on subscription through Prime Video in the U.S. This promotional deal lets Prime members sign up to the streaming platform for over 50% off the usual $12.99/month price for up to two months, after which the standard price applies.

The promotion ends on June 26 though, so there are only a few days left to go before it's gone.

Subscribers will have access to Apple TV's full catalog of original content, including hit shows like "Severance," "Ted Lasso," and "The Morning Show," as well as films and live sports events.

No where in my post did I state or imply I see Apple as a friend or charity. All I said was that the offer length should have been longer. Your retort to me doesn't make sense. If you want to stand by what you said and be consistent, you should have been positing that there should have been no offer made to begin with.

You are correct. But companies also need to understand that customers need value for their money. I for one have dropped my Apple TV subscription after their promotion price ended as for me Apple doesn’t provide enough value for their full price. Other people might believe they do.

Summer is typically slower as people are out and about or on vacation.
I suspect Apple has some of their more popular shows with new episodes, returning in the fall.
Not a bad strategy if you're Apple.

Apple gave me a month free when I purchased some concert tickets. That's more than enough time to catch up on a few series and movies before letting it go again.

The school I went to lets us keep our .edu address for life. I graduated a long time ago, but have been using this for the past six years. I suppose my days may be numbered if they ever catch on.

For all Mankind and Star City are pretty good but those run even better off my Plex setup.

No it was strategy of Pit Stops back then as fuel was pretty unlimited. Fuel management did not become a big concern until they capped fuel at 100~110kg per race and then no refueling. Still nothing like the sound of a V10 engine at 19,000 RPM.

I'm happy with just paying for two months at the teaser rate and canceling. That will cover For All Mankind , Star City, and most of Silo. I'll subscribe on the 26th (Friday) to catch the Friday releases dates which might actually be viewable on Thursday nights after nine pm CST

Strategically stopping to re-fuel is still fuel management - you can call it what you want, but it has always been fuel management. The importance of fuel management has changed overtime but its always been there.

I just used yet another free trial to start a rewatch of FAMK.

It was great in S1, good in S2 and S3 is when it went off the rails for me and I checked out.

The free trial was a nice way to remind myself of that. 😂
