Apple website seems to suggest both iPhones have the image stabilisation.

Just browsing the store page and at the bottom it seems to show that the iSight cameras on both models share the same features.

Am I loopy or have they made a pretty obvious mistake?

I believe the 6 has some image stabilization but the 6 plus as full blown optical stabilization. The keynote made it clear that the advanced features they were showing off is only on the plus

This feature is listed correctly in the "compare models" section. Only on the Plus.

The 6 has the standard digital image stabilization. The OIS in the 6 plus is hardware.

The only "advanced" feature I'm aware of that only the 6+ will have is OIS. Other than that, the cameras and its features are identical.
