    Hi guys,

Second problem of the day. Some applications simply refuse to install, citing the reason that the application "can't be installed on this computer" and nothing else. The applications that are giving me this error message in particular includes Alfred and Solitaire Greatest Hits. Other applications work just fine, such as Twitter for Mac and TextWrangler.

Are Alfred and Solitaire compiled for processors that are newer than my lowly Core Duo, or what? Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

The Core Duo doesn't support 64 bit mode, so it could be something like that.

Yes. It's because these apps, in their app store version, for whatever reasons, are compiled as 64bit only. Probably just a simple oversight. The developers might have forgotten to check a box, or something...

In the meantime, you can download the Solitaire app from here and Alfred from here and run both without problems.
