The camera on mine is already fantastic. I usually do the Verizon upgrade program ever year, but after given it a lot of thought, I think I am going to hold off one more year with my Silver 512gb and jump in on year two of the bigger screen.

Can't think of a compelling reason to upgrade, so of course. May even keep it another year after that.

To be frank, I'm not even using my phone to its fullest this year. I've hardly gone anywhere; most of my phone use is taking photos while out cycling. Given the 12 series doesn't really improve the camera much, not much point in upgrading.

5G? Similarly not much point in upgrading as I get plenty good network performance on my 11PM with LTE.

I've never upgraded after only one year anyway, most of my upgrades have been after two, except for last year where I upgrade to the 11PM after three years with my 7 Plus.

I probably am going to stick with my 11 Pro Max to, given the battery life reduction in the new phones and 5G barely being widely available, I see no point, although I am intrigued by the 12 Pro Max Camera, other than that there’s nothing there.

Looking at the new models I actually appreciate my 11 Pro Max even more which is weird because usually there’s always something that makes me want to upgrade.

I'm trying my hardest 😂
This. I give myself at best a 50% chance to resist, and that's mostly because I dont want to go through the hassle of selling my old one.

It's the camera. Just because the lenses are similar does not mean as some imply that the cameras are the same. Larger sensor, better stabilization, more Ram for computational photography, these are the reasons I will probably upgrade. I get an insane amount of battery life as it is, not too worried about a 10% decrease, if that. I mean instead of my phone being at 70% at the tend of the day its only 65%? I can handle that.

Still. will at least try to hold back. some.

I'm definitely holding onto mine. First 5G iteration along with a smaller battery, that's my #1 reason to not upgrade. I had two 5G Android devices and it was a nightmare.

My other reasons include not liking the square design, the super shiny sides, and iOS 14. So I'm gonna be seeing what next year brings.

I have a feeling I'm going to be with this 11 Pro Max a few years.

I also went from a 7 Plus to the 11 Pro Max. I miss Touch ID more than ever during a necessary mask time.

Yea the camera in the 12 pro max is my BIGGEST reason for wanting to upgrade. But I am trying to resist because the rumors for next years phone have features that interest me a bit more.

While I really don't have a reason to coming from the 11 PM, I have always gotten the latest phone every year regardless. I will say this year more than any other, I am leaning more towards skipping the 12 PM....that is until 10 minutes before preorder on Friday I am finding myself placing an order getting caught up in the excitement.

That was the plan for sure until I saw AT&T's insanely generous trade-in program...that got me thinking I may upgrade, but I may very well still hang onto my 11PM for another year. Probably depends on the availability of the blue 12PM, which I'm sure will be limited.

If I had 5G where I live it'd maybe be a different story but 1) I don't and 2) from what I'm seeing, 5G isn't much of an advantage at this current time.

I am not getting scammed by Apple making me pay extra for a charger and earphones that should come for free.

Good that my iPhone 11 Pro Max will last for 5+ years easily.

I’m still undecided. I really like the Pacific Blue Pro Max but I’m somewhat leaning toward a change in maybe a 12 Pro and not the Max.
I’m even looking at a Mini but coming from a 11 Max the mini may be too much of a down size. The saga continues.

11 Pro Max Midnight Green 256GB - the best phone I ever owned,
after a year of usage it holds like a new, great device,
will use it for one more year with a great pleasure!

Nope! I don't get much use out of my 11PM these days anyway since Im at home 24/7 and have my MacBook and iPad always on hand. I would love to see what people develop using the LiDAR though I hope this leads to some really cool AR stuff.
