I hope this doesn't affect his and Perez's new party and the peace process.

Same thoughts here- I hope that everything turns out okay (and not just for peace- no one should have to be hospitalized :) ).

Depends on the pronounciation, wouldn't it?

Is it Shar-rown or Share-run? That would clear up any confusion.

Here's to the Crazy Ones

I find it strange to read "Ariel Sharon" and "Peace Process" in one sentence.
Sounds sort of naiv - sorry.

If he wouldn't be on "our" side, his title would be more like the biggest "criminal against humanity" in modern times. Although there might be a tough competition with Henry Kissinger, Suharto, Augusto Pinochet, Saddam Hussain... man this list could be very long...

I hope for his recovery, so that we can see him in an international court. Even the court in Israel found him responsible for the death of thousands of people.

On the other hand you might be right, there could be worse people in power, like Benyamin Nethanyau (?)...

I better stop here, this is not a political forum.

I find Sharon to be a very incapable leader, although he was probab;y one of the greatest military men Israel has ever had. Most of those deaths have been just. Dont want to get in an argument, but best wishes to Mr. Sharon, and I like his idea of a new centrist party.

Thank you kind sir, you've my utmost respect for having the balls to say, re. type, what many of us were no doubt thinking!!

I suspect this post may be deleted...

Sharon, like, Arafat, needs to go (politically, I don't mean die) before more progress can be made. The older generation on both sides of the Isreal/Palestine issue carry too much baggage/grudges with them to be able to really sit down and compromise.

I hope he recovers, but I also hope he decides to end his political career soon.
