Is there a way in OS X to assign a keyboard shortcut to open an app? I've found myself opening word and safari so often that a keyboard shortcut would be mighty convenient.

Anyone?

well I use quicksilver which is free and use their triggers to do it.
try it and see if you like it.

however i used to use a program just to set shortcuts. Can't remember the name though iKeys? Something like that
