AT&T charging customers full cost of X if you don’t return trade

    So I woke up to this text message this morning....

    I’ve upgraded every year the last few years on next. I haven’t sent back my old phone cause i just sell it locally and att adds the remainder to my bill and i pay it. Now apparently they are going to charge customers the full cost of the X if your old phone is not returned.

    I called and she said she will change it back for me. I will only be billed the remaining balance of my 7+ if they don’t receive it in 30 days.

    I don’t know what their trying to pull but if you got this message and don’t plan on sending it back make sure you call.

    I called and checked on this earlier. She said that it was a glitch on their end. Only the balance of the phone to be traded in would be required.

    Dang, not sure how they can do that. You wouldn't owe close to that on the old phone.

    Mine didn’t say anything about a glitch just said she’d change it for me
