Anyone taken advantage of the deal at AT&T that pays you $250 in the form of a visa gift card to port a line? We were just getting ready to get my son a phone and add him to our plan when I ran across this. So I ordered an unlocked iphone SE from Apple, got him a SIM card from a small local carrier, and then ported the phone number that night over to AT&T. The fine print says you get instructions after 45 days of active service with AT&T on how to claim the card.

I’m just curious to know if anyone else has taken advantage of this and how long it took to get the card.

I actually did this, And yes I was told around the 30-45 day mark too. I started service on 8/25 so I won’t get the email until the end of September.

Any other success stories? We are now closing in on 45 days. Less than 10 to go.

More important than the $250 Visa card. Is ATT plans See if they meet up to your needs. 5G regardless of the carrier won’t be useful yet even if your in a city that has it

I’m debating doing this. I currently have t mobile and am not happy with the service at all. May do it this weekend or wait until the new phone comes out. Now sure
How long the 250 per line promo will last

is it a digital gift card or a physical?

Good To Know. I ported 4 lines Sept 1st, and 2 more last week. I know its only up to 2 per account, but still have not seen any email come though yet.

Valid points. I’m on an AT&T Unlimited plan including home Internet. Between 10 devices, one of which is a home internet box, we use about 700-800 GB per month. I’ve been offered “better deals” from AT&T 3 times in the past year. Each time they’ve come up short. I also live in Alaska that only has a couple local carriers, Verizon(in limited areas) and AT&T.
