AT&T online pre-qualificaton?

I went to att.com and used the "Get Started with iPhone 3G" - get pre–qualified for a wireless account. I wanted to see if I would have to pay a deposit. After I filled in the info it said "Congratulations we were able to set up a temporary account for you, you may be eligible for additional lines take this to your representative to expedite your purchase...." Nothing about a deposit was mentioned.

What does this temporary account code mean? Will AT&T run another credit check at the store when I give them the code? I don't want too many inquiries on my credit report.

If they never said any deposit required, then you're credit report was good. No more credit checks after that.

Just give them the code when you visit an AT&T store, and that should be it. Of course you have to pay for the phone :p

If you need a referral, I still have a slot open :cool:
