AT&T Store won't cancel pre-order and given ETA is 5weeks!

    A friend of mine pre-ordered from a local AT&T store on october 7th. They made him to sign and pay for the new 2-year contract, and the new iPhone fees in-front.

    Now she is stuck, store won't cancel her order for some reason. The funny thing is the very same store has iPhone 4Ss in-stock and she cannot get one because store placed an order to be delivered to her billing address. :eek:

    She tried AT&T call center several times, but it was no-go.

    What can we do about it? This is not fair at all...

    No worries here, I got my iPhones on launch day. :cool:

    I was in the same boat, though I had not paid anything, just a card hold. Multiple AT&T reps told me I could not cancel but could only wait for the phone and refuse delivery or risk ETF. Then I got an email that said my order date was 10/16 instead of 10/7. Called back (611) and told the guy I could just walk into a store and buy one. I asked if I could cancel. He said yes, and he did it. Then I went to the Verizon store... I'm done with those liars at AT&T.
