i plugged in my phone, but it said they would email me when it activated anyone else stll waiting?
Ive been waiting over 3 hrs. i'm on the phone trying to sort it out but am on hold.
With all of the iPhones today things are going to be delayed. It'll work out.
I dd this at about 9:30 and they were not busy yet as it only took a few minutes to go through the automated process.

Mine went through fine!
17 minutes remaining until it restores from iCloud. Not sure if I passed activation yet or if that's next...
Wow. I activated mine directly from the phone around 9:40 am EST this morning and it was done in just a few minutes. AT&T's servers must be swamped.
Sprint activated my 2 phones in 25 minutes.
Received two brand new lines today. Both activated as soon as I powered them on. Not one hiccup. I was surprised. I was ready for a delay.
I received my phone from UPS around 9:45. Due to it having the wrong phone number attached to it and it being a cross-upgrade, I needed a new SIM.
It just activated around 2:30PM EST.
AT&T gave me $70 credit towards my bill.
Activated mine through att.com/activation as said in the instructions then after entering my info i restarted the phone. Didnt take that long you just have to restart it..

A call to AT&T was answered quite quickly and the phone was activated quickly as well.
they said everything is fine on their side, so now im restoring the phone! this makes no sense! data was working, but not making cals!

Focus your mind elsewhere, or you'll only make it worse.
Connected to iTunes and it took less than 3 min to verify with AT&T. Just restore from back up is taking time.
I purchased 2 phones, one through Apple and the other through AT&T. For the Apple one I just turned it on and stepped through the setup and it activated, for the AT&T one I had to go through AT&T site to activate and then rebooted.
CALL 1-866-895-1099 from another phone to activate. SIMPLE!
att said that its all good on their side. thing is i got a message from itunes saying we will email you when its active, so does that mean its apple.
att said everything is fine, but it isn't making or receiving calls! but data works apple never activated through itunes. apple said we will send u an email.
Apparently ordering through Apple is the way to go because my phone took about 30 seconds to activate
Ordered 3 iPhone 5 as upgrades for my family
AT&T did not activate. I have been on hold with their service for more than 30 minutes. Apparently, the "10GB shared data plan" is NOT compatible with iPhone 5. This is the third supervisor I am talking with.
Go figure ... you can always trust AT&T to screw it up somehow...
on the phone with apple, but they had me reset the settings. still not making alls, but shows bars and att 4g
apple said everything is fine on their side. that it has to be att.
and it can't be the phone cause the att data part is working just not the phone number! i mean is it normal to take this long to maybe fully activate everything!
I followed the link from the email to activate. Typed in the two sets of numbers and hit submit. The website lists my phone activation as pending. It's been 1.5 hours now and still not activated.
