Hello all!

In the near future, I plan to buy an unlocked iPhone, since I am off contract and don't want my $160 bill to double with a contract. (Or so the lady at the store said)

I want to know if unlocked iPhones benefit from features such as LTE and etc.

Does an unlocked phone benefit just as much as a locked phone on AT&T?

Thanks!

An unlocked US GSM iPhone will work the same as an AT&T locked model. I think some international models might not support the band AT&T uses for LTE. Similarly, the Verizon iPhone 5, while factory unlocked, only works on AT&T HSPA. It doesn't support AT&T's LTE bands. There's only one model of iPhone 5c and 5s for Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile/GSM unlocked, only caveat being CDMA is not activated on the AT&T and T-Mobile/GSM unlocked models so it might be a safe bet that the same will be true of future models.
