in the email i think they are just telling you about their case and inquiring you to wait for 14 days! so my advice is to wait till 14 days and then do something!

Yea its the request email, but from what i read some ppl get the unlock without having the second email about plugging to itunes!

So i kinda dont want to wait and the second email will never come, but the unlock is already in apple server if u know what i mean. And plus the ppl that never got the second email got their iphones unlock without knowing.

u can check the info on imei.info! this website can tell you whether its locked or not!

What happens when you try to use it on a non AT&T carrier?

It gives me one bar, but no service. When I connect it to iTunes it says

"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from a supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card."

I guess it's back to using gevey...

so i thing it is unlocked by aplle true?

Ugh... My resolution date was April 17th for my iPhone 4, and still no luck.

I called to check on my case, and it's still open and has been assigned to the unlock team, but the person on the phone couldn't estimate how much longer it will take...

Hopefully I'll hear something soon, but seeing as I told them I bought the phone off ebay, I can understand if they have me on the bottom of the list.

Finally, my iPhone has been unlocked. Tried to unlock since the 9th. However, I didn't receive a confirmation email or whatsoever. Just tried it tonight and it gave me the "Congratulations, your unlocked"-message in iTunes. Removed ultrasn0w en deactivated the iPhone before I tried to sync by the way.

Rejected... guess I have to call or put in another case number...

I guess I got rejected 'cause I don't have an account w/ ATT (I didn't tell them I have a gophone account).

Thank you for contacting AT&T Customer Care about unlocking your iPhone.

We are unable to complete your request at this time due to the following reason(s):

• Invalid or no mobile/account associated with request.

Please click the following link for AT&T’s General Eligibility Requirements for Unlocking iPhone.

Trying to do a restore of my device via iTunes to check if apple did the unlock but I dont have an at&t Sim card to bypass the activation screen do I need it? (Just checking)

Rejected... guess I have to call or put in another case number...

Called, and they said that the phone is "ineligible". Said there was nothing they could do, and that there weren't any reasons for it being ineligible in their system. Said that it *could* be because the phone isn't old enough, but they wouldn't re-open my case.

Guess I'll call again hoping to get a more helpful customer rep, or put in another case...

frustrating....

Try try again and i am sure u will be successful!

I just had an email from AT&t (after waiting 19 days!) telling me I'm ineligible because I have no mobile account. I bought my phone of contract in New York so I don't see why this is a problem? Maybe I should just try again but it's quite expensive calling the US from Europe and I don't want to wait for another month or so. I feel betrayed.

Is there perhaps someone who does have an account who would like to try to unlock the iPhone via chat? I'm positive it meets all the requirements.

Try Skype, doesn't cost you a thing. That's because it's a tollfree number.
