May those who perished rest in peace. I wish the injured a speedy recovery.

Agreed, hopefully they will be found quickly and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I can't imagine Putin giving these pigs a lot of leash in terms of court proceedings, and I'm ok with that.

Hey! I thought a strong leader like Putin was supposed to keep the Russian people safe from terrorists?

Terrorism is only something that happens in countries with weak liberals in charge, who let in all those naughty Muslim immigrants.

This is a pretty gross and heartless post.

Russia has had a lot of problems with terrorist attacks, especially from the Chechens. Obviously we don't know who carried out this attack, but of course I'm going to wonder about it.

It's heartless when people blame immigration and and immigrants for such things. Like after the Westminster shooting, conservatives started screaming and hollering about immigrants, when in fact it was homegrown terrorism.

It was Muslim terrorism. On that we agree. But how do you call it homegrown for sure? Do you know that he wasn't indoctrinated by a Muslim immigrant. Or was he indoctrinated via the internet from extremist violent hatred originating in the Mid East? To call it "home grown" insinuates that the culture of England created this monster, which I do not believe to be the case. You need to look at a wider picture.

Furthermore, what is REALLY heartless is people driving over other people, throwing gays from roof-tops, keeping women in tents, cutting off peoples heads, raping your way across the Mid East (and beyond), need I go on?

We are seeing these actions primarily from one group of people.

I also think defending the heartless words posted by our local "intellectual" is pretty heartless as well.

Agreed. I agree that vDrew's comment was tactless, especially at this early stage of the thread, but let's not pretend that the conversation isn't going to go there eventually. Once we move past the "thoughts and prayers" stage, it'll turn into finding the blame (not saying it's wrong to do that either, but it does mean there will probably be some unjustified finger-pointing and scapegoating).

Trump is definitely not one for tact. I thought that's what people liked.

Crime may never come to and end. But I think we could end nail bombs and beheadings and forced rooftop areal homosexual fatal acrobatics.

What the h*ll is wrong with people? Such sad news. I do not like Putin, but today we are all Muscovites.

EDIT: Sorry - the rumour I heard at work was that this was in Moscow.:oops::oops::oops:

OK - so we're at St. Peterburgians....

Um, no. We are not. I do wish we could shut down this terrorist threat.
