audio recording software

    hi guys,

    does anyone know an application by which i can record an audio which is playing for example in youtube...

    i used to use jetaudio with pc but with mac i dont know what software to use...

    also i dont want to use mac's built-in microphone to record because it gives very bad quality....

    If you want a free solution you should check out Soundflower, it can route the audio to any recorder like Audacity, GarageBand etc.

    But Audio Hijack Pro is a pretty cheap alternative.

    Wiretap Pro isn't sold anymore, but it's great for simple recordings. Here's a free version.

    I <3 Audio Hijack. Very easy to use and excellent quality.

    I love Audio Hijack Pro and use it every week to record podcasts. The great thing is that the free version will record samples up to 10 minutes long before adding static, that should be plenty for most YouTube videos!
