Due to the nation’s controversial and oppressive gun restrictions, no one has died as a result of a mass-shooting on Australian soil today, for the 7827th day in a row.
    ...
Per 100,000 residents in Australia, less than 1 are expected to be killed by a firearm this year. This is heavily contrasted to the 10.5 in 100,000 who will be killed in America.

I've stopped being sympathetic about people being shot in the states, mass shootings in particular. The us. brings it upon itself by having this concept of the "right to carry firearms, even assault rifles". Tough ****.

    Harsh? Probably.

Guns OK, Kinder Surprise eggs are illegal!

... guns which are imported illegally from the states.

"A cultural issue" is a bit of a lame excuse. Mass shooting after mass shooting and politicians and others, especially NRA appear to think theses causalities are a price worth paying for the right to bear arms.

rather obvious you don't know what you are talking about. (EDIT, APOLOGIES for the harsh sentence) the guns you have are LEGAL there, things WE CAN'T have here in CA.

    even mentioned them by brand

Politicians represent their constituents -- the people who keep the in office. NRA represents its members -- the people who fund its existence. So if it all comes back to the American people, how is it not cultural?

Yep, we choose to have these mass shootings as regular events in our country, and I can’t feel too sympathetic since we don’t do anything. It does make me sick to see Congress pretending to have sympathy for the victims though since they are the only ones that could do something.

Maybe if there were to be a registration campaign targeting hijab-wearing Muslims and pants-sagging black teens to join the NRA and apply for gun permits in large numbers, then the NRA would suddenly begin supporting stricter gun laws.

Really? Then why do politicians ignore the fact that a large majority of Americans, including gun owners, support stronger gun policies?

In reality, politicians represent the NRA.
    --- Post Merged, Oct 3, 2017 ---
This is the crux of the matter. The NRA has convinced people that their freedom depends on owning guns, the more the better.

You say its a cultural issue a lot. Any ideas on why our cultural is so different from other first world countries or what we can do about it? Just curious, not being a dick.

    see post 10.
that said freedom is important here, enough that even the ACLU will stand to defend the rights of Nazi sympathizers free speech .
    prohibition did not work here
war on drugs did not work here.
gun control does not work here
he'll as I have said numerous times the more you push for regulation the more Americans counter, happened with alcohol, happened with drugs and it's happening with guns. there is a HUGE market for 80% lowers from AR's, 1911's, glocks.
the more you try to regulate the more things go underground.

I was confused. i thought you meant our culture made us more violent and that's why we have more mass shootings.

it's a bit more complicated than that, you seen today's oxygen thieves talking smack to their parents? how about mobs of idiots using social media to beat up others

    or to steal?

things are pretty bad when you can get 4 clowns to agree to shoot up a school
    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/10/04/students-arrested-shooting-plot/73325610/

so yeah we have issues as a "culture".:(
these are of course small segments still, but they are big enough that should make all of us worry.

that guy was shot stealing, and his family ask "how else is he going to get money"????? o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

    Answer stellas question bro.

Do you think all these deaths are a price worth paying for your right to delete "a Well-Formed Militia, being necessary to the state" part and just using the right to bear arms ?

Yes or no please. I'm sick of easy speak.
