Can anyone give me some advice on how to create my first 'tar?

I'm not so interested in animation, but I have a few pics that I'd like to use. Only thing is, they are too big. How do I resize them? Do I need Photoshop? I've downloaded the demo, just in case.

Help?

As long as it's a GIF and under 100k, I use this site. It's how I got my current one.

If you're not into animations, then Photoshop should be fine. You need to make it 50x50 and under 20k. If the demo doesn't allow you to save files, make the tar the right size then use screen capture to get the image.
