I swore I stood/walked for 1 minute in that hour.
You missed it by two hours anyway, not one. Mute point.
Next week don't count on perception. Turn on notifications and check it during the day. Also if you are 'crunching' to get in a Stand then walk around making sure to concisely swing your arms. You can also do this standing at a desk but you must swing your arms.
EDIT: Just to add I'm obsessive and keep the Activity face so I can keep tabs on it.

Btw OP, don't wait for it to notify you. Just find a time to stand and walk for a few minutes. That will do.

It could be "mute" because he was so mad he was speechless!
Stand is the only goal that I can't imagine anyone not being able to get daily. I don't think I have ever missed 12 hours of stand. Even when sick, when I have minor surgery and drove from NY to FL I still managed to get 12 (or more hours). I guess if someone spends the entire day in bed sick, or in front of the TV either watching it or playing video games to no end...
I don't believe there is anything you can do. But, I'm sure you already knew this...

I suppose it's too late to do anything now, but if this happens again, shift time zones. You can give yourself a few extra hours by switching from, for example, EST to PST. Just don't forget to shift back in the morning, or you'll be late to everything!
