You obviously know very little of Barry White, his musical career, and his stage persona, as both he and Isaac Hayes could easily have been interchanged.

The 70s, especially in the disco era, were full of bling, and White was in the middle of it.

    Then you completely misunderstood.

    This is apropos:

    NO JOKES, PLEASE, WE’RE LIBERAL
If Fox News were truly fair and balanced, would it be as much fun to watch? While the right enjoys a laugh, media liberals have become the new conservatives: a stodgy, humorless Ivy League elite.

No. I believe you misunderstood, let alone do I even believe you were even alive then.

Won him 3 Grammys and a score of hits. Something tells me you really don't know what you are talking about.

I realize that Axl Rose is probably not the easiest guy in the world to generate sympathy for, but he does (sorta) have a point.

The photograph in question was taken at a concert by a Canadian photographer, one who Rose alleges had signed a release stating that the Copyright for any images would revert to Rose. The legality or enforceability of that release is something that can be debated. (Generally Copyright goes to the photographer.)

But on a larger scale, this goes to point out what a huge mess our current copyright system is. On the one hand, large media companies and publishers have messed with the length of time under which authors (or their estates) continue to control Copyright. Works such as Star Wars and much of the Disney catalog will probably not fall into the public domain for well over a hundred years.

On the other hand, companies like Google have decimated the royalty income stream from recording artists. YouTube and similar ad-supported sites are now the single most popular method of accessing music. Yet the revenue they provide to artists is microscopic. The recording industry made more from sales of vinyl records last year than they received from online streaming sources (not including paid downloads such as iTunes.)

Axl Rose's quest is probably a waste of time. Even if Google removed every single offending image, it still lives on on innumerable hard drives and servers. Tracking down and deleting every one of them is almost certainly a practical impossibility. The best he can hope for is that sooner or later it will be forgotten.

On the positive side; Axl has been getting rave reviews in his latest career fronting for AC/DC in the place of retired Brian Johnson. The Digital Age giveth, and the Digital Age taketh away.

Live in concert! Fat Axl Rose singing from a chair and 60+ year old Angus Young wearing a schoolboy outfit!

"Attention concertgoers. The brown laxative is bad. Stay away from the brown laxative."

    That's just sad. Really sad.

Maybe Axl should worry more about touring and singing songs people want to hear.

Joe Elliot is pretty chunky and it doesn't have any impact on Def Leppard's popularity.

Axl Rose is such a wuss. Speaking of Lep, Vivians out there playing his ass of between chemo treatments for Hodges.

Shut up or just go away Fat Axl. No one missed him the last 20 years anyway.
