This woman must be stopped. She is insane. This is the kind of person who cold do real harm to us if she gets in office. Don't think it can't happen.

Things like this shows the difference in culture between the US and other countries. If a front line politician supported a campaign like this in the UK their career would grind to a halt.

And this makes her popular in her party. It's insanity. Everybody keeps saying, "Don't worry, gay marriage will be the law of the land soon." Not with people like this out there leading a political party. They can turn back the clock very quickly.

I'd expect her to sign it, she does represent the bat **** wing of the party. And she is scary but on the bright side, as more Americans see her quoted on TV, I expect her numbers to plummet.

Be very interesting to see what other Republican candidates sign it. I bet Gingrich, Santorum and Cain sign it.

Still can't believe stuff like this still exists, hopefully she never gets on the ticket.

Edit: Also isn't our country still in financial ruin? Maybe Bachman and every other politician should look at that instead of trying to ban gay marriage.

Oh- the state of the economy our fault too. We also cause earthquakes, fires, floods and tsunamis. Bet you didn't know that. ;)

The good news: The GOP is finally talking about jobs
The bad news: They're talking about hand jobs and blow jobs.

I'm actually glad she signed it.

Michelle Bachmann would be far more dangerous if she were wiser, played the political game, and carefully hid her more extreme beliefs.

But when you're that nutty, it's hard not to just let your freak flag fly.
    ;)

Crazy, meet Michele Bachmann. Michele, Bachman, meet Crazy.
Oh... I see you two know each other already.

…and so they think it right to deny others those (supposed) privileges?
    WTF?

Let me say that I 100% disagree with her, but I at least give her credit for saying what she believes even if it's crazy/unpopular/etc.

Many politicians would hide most of their extreme views until after they are elected.

It's nearly time to grab the popcorn. It's gonna be an entertaining year in politics and I have the best seat in the house. :p

Like a Republican would sign any "Anti-something" pledge that isn't crazy. Think about Anti-Taxes, Anti-Abortion, Anti-Union...

Gays aren't treated like subhumans up here either and the country hasn't crumbled yet.

I suspect she thinks that her anti-gay views will be an advantage in the republican primaries....and she may be right.

She may be. But the position she stakes out to win the primary will haunt her when it comes time to win centrist voters later on.

It's one reason why Republicans are screwing themselves. They require their candidates to take positions that a majority of Americans find too extreme.

I would be more inclined to agree with you if the general election were a popular vote election that combined all the votes from all the states.....but it's not.

I don't think Bachmann will get the GOP nomination and even if she did, she's not going to get california's electoral votes, but her extreme views might swing the vote to her in states like iowa, wisconsin and other places where the tea party types have been successful (michigan? florida? )

HAHAHA comparing homosexuality to secondhand smoke really?!? Honestly?!?

"I was just walking along the street one day when all of a sudden I found myself giving a gay man a blowjob"

I think we can all see this enormous problem

The bigger problem is that no one in the GOP calls them out on their BS.
