Backing up

From what I understand when I un sync from my current phone the watch should automatically create a back up to which I can use to restore when setting up the new phone next week?

I Wish there was a manual backup option. There are times where I want to set up my new watch using the back up of a current watch but in order to do that I would need to un pair the current watch which should not be necessary. If I could just create a back up of the current watch that I would not have to un pair it and create the back up.

I’m confused about this. When I get my AW 5 next week, do I pair it in the iPhone and then unpair my current AW 3 or vice versa? Which will give me the backup?

If you don't use S3 anymore, un pair the S3 first then pair S5. If you want to continue using S3 just pair your new S5.
