A mega catch-all thread for random small news we pick up from cable, networks and the web this evening that's good news for Barack Obama and the Dems.

I'll sticky it until tomorrow. Any exit polls, interesting links, snatches of news for any downticket races etc. could go in these threads. Big news like a state being called etc. probably deserve their own threads.

Feel free to spam it with good news and general discussion about the Democratic Party's prospects tonight. Please try not to troll it, thanks.

    :)

I'm feeling good about his prospects. Pity I'll have to be working tonight on emergency standby incase Chicago erupts and will have to wait for news stories to filter in.

Where, other than foxnews.com, can I go later tonight to read thousands of angry posts from defeated republicans? I'm not gonna step in and taunt them or anything, I just want to watch them suffer. :p

    National Exit Poll Data....First Takes...

76% of the country believes it's off on the wrong track.

    Bush's approval rating is 27%

More than 60% say the economy is their top voting issue; 9 in ten say the economy is in bad shape; more than 80% are worried about their own condition next year.

Change voters made up 35% of the electorate; 30% wanted someone who shared their values.

One in ten voters are late-deciders..

And CNN tells us that of those who listed Iraq as a key issue, Obama's leading two to one.

My #2 priority after the presidential race is to keep an eye on the congressional race in Minnesota. To see Michele Bachmann thrown out of Congress has been a dream of mine for months, long before it became the dream of many...

Can't remember the exact quote from Chris Matthews but if Dole loses, it will be the first time in 56 (?) years that a Dole or Bush did not hold elected office.
