Now, that would shake things up in Washington, however, they would have huge disagreements on things like spending and such.

    I'm not sure that it's a bad thing :D!

I got it and chuckled which speaks volumes about my useless knowledge of star wars and internet memes ....

I know the character but the website seems a bit ambiguous as to which candidate it supports.

And as a one off. When did these people start using all those funky color schemes .

It makes more sense in all the download files, where the "He knows it's a trap" line is actually in the poster. Nice. :)

You may have to put me there too. I find "Star Wars" movies a waste of time.

Since this is a silly discussion leaning "closed" do you mind if I ask if you really are in the political theatre and if so what you do ?

In a way. I'm not a politician, nor have I ever played one on TV, but in the course of my job I've met quite a few local ones. The cable studio I produce for does local government programming, and also public access programming which sometimes has a political bent.

I also, as some know, operate an online fulfillment store with decidedly liberal leanings.

But that "political theater" stuff is meant to be taken only semi-seriously, not so much in reference to my occupation as to my interest in politics.

Interesting story: four years ago I produced a couple of videos specifically for public access. One was a record of a Kerry campaign rally. The other was a Bush rally. The interesting part about the Bush rally was that I sneaked in under the guise of being a Bush supporter. I almost got caught several times, but I managed to get to the press area, tape the rally and get away with the footage, which a cohort and I turned into a sort of Pop-Up Videos show. We played the rally in full, but every time Bush said something untrue -- which happened a lot -- we had a box appear at the bottom of the screen that showed facts that contradicted him. We even footnoted our references.

    That was fun. :D

I think this is a good example of the huge differences in the campaigns. Obama has reached out to regular people in a way never before seen.

The power of the internet is what will decide this election. Too bad McCain doesn't know what the internet is.
