I want to see the lithium polymer tech used in the ipod implemented on the next rev of the powerbooks. I can see it now, " super fast, super light, super powerful, super long-life : the new powerbook g4 apollo."

But aside from that, anyone have any idea how to recondition a LiIon battery for the g3 firewire powerbook? I'm thinking about using apples's battery recondition util but the firewire g3 powerbooks are not mentioned. Any ideas?

Have you tried using it until the charge is 0? I believe that Apple suggests doing that every month or two, deplete the battery and then give it a full charge. They also mention about letting it charge overnight when you first get it so that it is properly conditioned. If those don't work, I can suggest going to Apple's site and searching under the FAQ's as well as the discussions boards.

Someone else might have already come up with an easy solution for that, and you never know what else you might find there.
