Hello folks. I have been using a 2021 MBP M1 Pro 14" base model since the December 2021.

It has always been at 100% battery health, I check it with the Battery Health 3 app. I also use AlDente to keep my device at a certain charging level e.g. 50%. The cycle is also 56 now.

I recently updated to the Ventura and the battery health started oscillating in between 97% and 99%.
Does anyone have an idea why it started happening, or how I can fix this? I want it to stay still at 100% health.

Third party apps like Battery Health 3 use the ioreg parameter which can go up as well as down, day by day. Have a look at this post:

Hmm, I did not know that. Thank you for the information.

So, based on what you said for "ioreg" parameter, I should not be concerning too much, right?
And also the Apple's own battery health shows 100% health right now. Only the Battery Health 3 app shows 97% so far.
If this is no problem, I am okay with it. I just wondered why it started happening after Ventura update.

No I would not worry too much. Pay more attention to the Apple number. I was never able to identify any causes for the fluctuations I saw.

I want it to stay still at 100% health.

And I want my hair to stop becoming gray but that’s not how it works unfortunately 😁

Battery health is not a precise number, it’s an estimate that fluctuates depending on many factors. As long as the battery health indicator is over 95% your battery is practically new. As long as it is over 90% it’s healthy. As long as it’s over 80% it’s fine.

Your result is excellent for a computer your age. If I may, stop worrying about battery life and just use the computer. It’s not a constructive obsession to have.
