My previous laptops when new always had a battery capacity that exceeded design capacity by about 5%. After 9 months or so they'd hit the advertised capacity. This last computer was about 99% out of the box (bought in late Feb.) and is now at 92%. I'd like to hear what other people with 2011 MBP's say about this to find out if this is the new norm.

Just yesterday the battery was completely drained. I look at CoconutBattery about every week and the results have been pretty consistent but gradually getting lower.

I thought calibrating had nothing to do with the capacity of the battery(which I don't see how it could?), and just helped the time remaining displayed be more accurate?

Here's my coconut, mid 2010 that I got right after they came out:

2011 Core i5 MBP
Age: 22 weeks
Cycles: 142 cycles
Capacity: 96%

It does fluctuate quite a bit. Last week it was 98%, week before that 94%. I wouldn't worry about it.
