iPod Battery in iPod Nano

Does the battery in the Nano come fully charged? It only charged for about 40 minutes before saying that it is charged. It's still plugged in, but is it really done already?

In my experience iPods tend to show the fully charged symbol before they really are, particularly new ones. I'd give it a nice long charge to get started.

I've heard that they get 14 hours, but not much more.....
